Hello — I’m Annette.
I’m the founder and creative director behind Annette Rioux Creations Studio, a boutique floral and event design studio rooted in thoughtful details and intentional design. My creative journey began with flowers and evolved through more than a decade in interior design, where I developed a strong appreciation for balance, structure, and how design shapes the way people experience a space.
Today, I bring that background into every celebration I design — from weddings and corporate events to meaningful life milestones. I love creating environments that feel personal, elevated, and reflective of the people they’re designed for.
Outside of the studio, I’m a wife, mom to three boys, and a homeschool parent. Building a creative business from home has allowed me to grow both my family and my work with intention — and I’m continually inspired by the balance of the two.
At the heart of my work is a genuine love for celebrating others. I believe every event should feel thoughtfully curated, never one-size-fits-all. My goal is to guide clients through a seamless, enjoyable process while bringing their vision to life with care and creativity.

OUR PROCESS
Every wedding and event is unique — so is the way we approach your florals. My process is designed to be thoughtful, supportive, and clear, so you always feel confident and excited as your vision comes to life.
Not looking for wedding florals but interested in our celebrations or event services? The process is very similar. I approach every event with the same thoughtful care — guiding the design, coordinating details, and creating a cohesive experience that feels beautifully put together.

Step 1. Initial Inquiry
Connect & Clarify -
You share your wedding or event date, venue, inspiration, and priorities so I can understand what matters most for your celebration and confirm availability.
Step 2. Custom Proposal
Design Direction + Investment
Based on your details, I create a preliminary floral design outline along with an estimated investment that reflects your vision, scale, and priorities.
Step 3. Initial Consultation
Review + Refine -
We meet (virtually or in person) to walk through the proposal together, answer questions, and make real-time adjustments so every choice feels aligned and intentional.
Step 4. Booking & Reservation
Secure Your Date -
Once you’re ready to move forward, a signed agreement and retainer officially reserve your date. From this point on, you can relax knowing your vision, investment, and event details are fully secured and being handled with care.
5. Design Development
Bringing Everything Together -
Approximately two to three months before your wedding or event, we finalize design details. I create a design board that brings together floral selections, décor elements, and your color palette so everything feels cohesive and clear.
This stage allows for thoughtful refinement while still leaving room for flexibility as your celebration approaches. Full mock-ups are available upon request for an additional investment.
Step 6. Final Planning + Execution
Seamless Deslivery + Installation
Once final guest counts are confirmed, the remaining balance is due. As your event approaches, I finalize selections, coordinate logistics, and prepare for installation.
On the day of your event, I oversee setup and execution to ensure everything comes together beautifully — allowing you to enjoy the final weeks of planning and be fully present on your day.
My role is to handle the details so you can enjoy the process and feel confident knowing your florals and décor are thoughtfully and professionally managed from start to finish.

Our wedding was on the roof of the Detroit Opera House, which provided a few challenges for her, including dealing with the wind! :) We wanted something modern, elegant, with a touch of glam, and she NAILED IT!! Our wedding ceremony was on the roof, followed by a cocktail reception inside. Then the reception was back on the roof right after. So she had to coordinate flipping the roof in a short amount of time and everything came together perfectly. I never worried about a thing the entire day and our guests loved it! "We chose Annette Creations to do several services for our wedding in August. Annette Rioux is listed here on the The Knot as a florist, but she also does paper goods (invitations, escort cards, programs, etc.) and day-of coordinating. We booked her for all these services since her prices were affordable and her work samples were beautiful and high quality. Her floral work is amazing and so beautiful! She truly put a lot of effort into making designs that were unique to our style and color scheme. We chose coral and green as our wedding colors and she came up with really creative ways to express these colors in the flowers. We got so many compliments on all our different floral items (bouquets, ceremony altar arrangements, reception table centerpieces, and more).
She also made several paper items for us - save the dates, invitations, ceremony programs, escort cards, and menu cards. All of these were excellent! I especially liked the personalized monogram/logo she designed for us using our initials and wedding date. This was used throughout the paper items and it tied everything together with a visual theme.
Annette was also excellent as a day-of coordinator. She met with us about one month before the wedding to plan out a detailed timeline of the day and gather information about our wedding party/special people involved in the wedding and our various vendors. She wrote up the timeline on a shared Google Doc so we could make changes leading up to the wedding day and everyone involved (bride, groom, parents, Annette) could see the updates seamlessly. On the day of the wedding she did a great job of handling the set-up at the church and reception venue, communication with vendors, and various check-ins to make sure everything was running smoothly. It was nice to have a go-to person outside the family/wedding party to handle small details and keep everyone on schedule so we didn’t have to worry about it. Annette was very friendly and positive to work with throughout the whole process and we highly recommend her!"
