My passion for design and architecture started at a very young age, I followed that dream and went to LTU to study architecture and interior design. I worked for a few local architecture firms in Bloomfield Hills, Detroit and Ann Arbor. I love the design process, getting involved with the entire building and working closely with architects, designers, engineers and the entire construction team. Even though large projects take months and sometimes years it always felt rewarding to walk through a space that was so intricately thought out, planned, designed and built by some incredible professionals. Although I may not be working in a large office designing large buildings I can still enjoy the nature of home and designing a space that a family lives in. Home is our dwelling and home can mean many different things to people. I love to be able to create a comfortable spaces for families to make memories in. Home should feel like a retreat, a place to put your feet up, a place to energize and a place that creates peace for your family.
Sometimes all a home needs is a little refreshing, creating a home color palette with colors you love and that harmonize together can change your home drastically. Or maybe you want to go beyond that a little and update little accents like throw pillows or window treatments, furniture or change out light fixtures or plumbing fixtures. Or maybe your home or office needs a full renovation, a clean slate. to really give it the comfort and create the retreat you are dreaming of.
Either of these ways I can help! My services include an in-home consultation where I listen and we can talk about what you can do to achieve what you want. I can provide inspiration boards with colors, details, ideas, so that you can use it as a spring board to purchase things you love that fit into the design scheme, or I can help you do-it-all, create design drawings and color boards, and assist the builder to get it just right. It all depends on what your needs and budget are.
Design Build Phases:
Schematic Design includes existing measurements, conceptual ideas, image analysis, flow, usability, design, schemes, develop existing layout.
(I can provide hourly services to guide you through the design of your home)
Design Development includes floor plans, elevations, finish selections, design board, fixtures and lighting design
(this is usually based on square footage, type of space(s), and documents you'll need to get the job don and is quoted as a project fee)
Construction Documents includes final documentation for builder/contractor that is needed, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules (this will depend on what your builder needs and requires, again this is quoted as a project fee or added hourly to the Design Development phase)
